The Premiere! Event for Burst Protocol will be from January 30th through February 1st, followed by the OTS release on February 4th
Starting on Friday January 29th, and running through Sunday February 1st, we'll be hosting open play Premiere! Events, as well as a Constructed-Advanced tournament on Sunday. During these events, you may purchase as many Burst Protocol boosters as you like. However, for your purchase of at least 5 boosters, you will receive:
- A specially made Field Center card.
- Entry into a drawing for your chance to win either an Burst Protocol play mat, or a Regenesis Archfiend promo card.
The open events happen all day on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
Then on Sunday, in addition to the open play event, we will host a Constructed Advanced tournament. Signups for the tournament will begin at 1:30 PM.

Premiere Event Details
- You may purchase as many boosters as you like at $4.49 plus tax.
- Full boxes will also be available for purchase for the special price of $84.99 plus tax.
- As long as you purchase 5 or more booster packs, you will you'll also receive 1 Field Center card and will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win either a Premiere Event Play Mat, or an Argostars- Glorious Adra promo card.
- As you'll be officially enrolled into the Premiere Event, a KCGN ID will be required. If you do not have one, you can get it by downloading the Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron app.
- We'll be hosting a Premiere Event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- You may enter the event any time we are open on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and/or Sunday from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
- You may enter one or more days.
- Only 1 entry into the drawing per person per day will be allowed.
- The Premiere Event will be open play. However, during the Tournament (see next section), no tables or chairs will be available in the shop as we will most likely have a packed house.
- If you win a play mat or promo card, your name will be removed from the drawing pool, regardless of how many days you've entered.
- The drawing will be held on Monday April 28th, after all events have concluded.
- Need not be present to win, but I won't be shipping, so if you are notified that you're a winner, you'll need to arrange for pick up.
Premiere Event Sealed Deck Tournament Details
- Signups for the Sunday tournament will begin at 1:30 PM.
- Entry will be $22.45 plus tax.
- For your entry, you'll receive 5 boosters, 1 Field Center card, and will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win either a Premiere Event Play Mat, or a special Premiere Event promo card.
- You will be using your own personal deck, but you can augment it with cards from your boosters that you've just purchased from Leisure Time Games.
- You can only augment your deck from the boosters you purchased to enter the tournament.
- As you'll be officially enrolled into the Premiere Event, a KCGN ID will be required. If you do not have one, you can get it by downloading the Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron app.
- Store credit can be used to enter the tournament.
- Store credit will not be issued, regardless of how entry is purchased.
- OTS packs will be given out for this event while supplies last.
- Deck Construction begins at 2:00 PM.
- Please do not open your boosters until instructed to do so. If you do, you will be disqualified from the tournament. Your name will remain on the list for the random drawing though.
- The only cards you will be able to add to your deck will be from the booster packs you purchase when you enter the tournament.
- Minimum deck size is 40 cards.
- For the record, you may not use cards from this set in any official tournaments until the set officially releases the following Friday.
- Deck construction as well as rounds during the tournament will be 50 minutes.
- The winner of the tournament will have their choice of the playmat, or the promo card.
- The winner will then be removed from the random drawing pool.
- The drawing will be held on Sunday after all events have concluded.
- Need not be present to win, but I won't be shipping, so if you are notified that you're a winner, you'll need to arrange for pick up.

Burst Protocol Launch
Once the premiere event has concluded, we won't be able to sell product until the official OTS release on the following Wednesday. This is 2 full days before the official launch on Friday. Also, once the set officially launches, the cards from the set will be tournament legal.

Burst Protocol Premiere Event
Get hold of the newest cards from the latest booster pack, Burst Protocol before the release date!
Participating Official Tournament Stores (OTS) hosting a Premiere! will allow you to purchase booster packs on select dates. OTS may also run other activities such as tournament play and Open Dueling* for which prizes are available including a Promotional Ultra Rare Card, a Game Mat and Field Center Cards.

Add a little New Year’s fireworks show to your Deck with Burst Protocol!
UPDATED October 3rd, 2025!“Rokkets” return in Burst Protocol, along with the latest “Forbidden” Quick-Play Spell Card: Forbidden Crown!
Depicting the struggle of powers above and below, the “Forbidden” series of Quick-Play Spells started way back in 2009. Forbidden Crown is the sixth, and the one with the most effects (so far)!
As the saying goes, “heavy is the head that wears the crown.” The monster chosen by Forbidden Crown gets hit with ALL of these effects for the rest of the turn:
Its effects are negated.
It can’t attack.
It can’t be destroyed.
It’s unaffected by card effects – except its own.
It can’t be Tributed, or used as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Material.
And finally, neither player can use monster effects in response to the Crown to try and stop it.Since the Crown, like all “Forbidden” Quick-Plays, can be used on either turn, you can use it on any monster, friend or foe, as offense or defense, depending on the situation. You can stop your opponent’s monster effects, disrupt their Summoning strategy by making a monster unusable as material, or make it indestructible while it’s stuck in Attack Position so you can run over it again and again to smash their Life Points. On the other hand, you can use it on your own monsters to protect them from enemy card effects, from being destroyed in battle, and from being used as material by your opponent. And since it opens so many possibilities, it’s a great card to Set if you’re going first, because it always has a great use.
It’s the Crown for every occasion!
And who knows the weight of the Crown better than Darklord Eveningstar? The Darklords are back! Use Darklord Dance to easily Fusion Summon Eveningstar (or any DARK Fairy) with materials from the hand, field, or Graveyard (or even use “Darklords” your opponent controls…) and boost his ATK by a thousand. Darklord Eveningstar Sets a “Darklord” Spell and a “Darklord” Trap from your Deck when he’s Summoned, and has the standard “Darklord” power to duplicate the effects of “Darklord” Spells and Traps in your Graveyard before shuffling them back into your Deck for re-use.
It’s a “Rokket” relaunch! Use the many powerful “Borrel” Link Monsters from Yu‑Gi‑Oh! VRAINS to fire off brand-new “Rokket” monsters inspired by Varis’ strategy from the anime! You can also add a new Link-5 “Borrel” Monster to your Extra Deck to go alongside your mighty Borrelend Dragon! Play your cards right and you may even be able to Summon both together!
If you missed out on Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem, go back and grab the latest upgrade to Crowley (called “the Gifted Magistus”). That’s because Spenta, the Magistus Sealer will be debuting in Burst Protocol! But that’s not all, the electrifying Fusion Monster Invoked Magistus Omega is going to be in this absolutely explosive set, too!
Mercurium the Living Quicksilver is a Rank 10 Xyz Monster (Aqua/DARK/ATK 3000/DEF 3000) that attaches a monster from your Deck to itself as material when it’s Xyz Summoned. And while Mercurium has material, your opponent cannot activate any monster effects in their Graveyard, if you have a monster with that same Attribute in YOUR Graveyard. Mercurium needs to be kept fed with new materials to keep this effect going, but as long as you can keep him satisfied, you’ll be able to shut down your opponent’s key strategies!
It’s also that time again for a brand-new World Premiere theme! The scientists have been deep in the lab messing around with things that are probably better off left alone. What’s that? Scientists with dinosaurs? Okay, well, surely nothing can go wrong with their experiments…right…right?
